Our story

Bentto is a team full of enthusiasm, experience behind the stove and a constant desire to cook delicious food.

Ismael y Mikel met while working together at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and after a long career on their own, they decided to set up their own takeaway restaurant in Barcelona.

We love feeling that Mmmm as you close your eyes and breathe through your nose with the food in your mouth… pasta, meat that almost falls apart without touching it, salads, yummy creams, fish cooked just right…

Ismael is a chef and gastronomic consultant. In the last 20 years, he has developed culinary projects for restaurants and hotels all over the world: Chile, Brazil, France, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Morocco, Argentina, Thailand, China, Maldives and the United States.


He has worked as a chef de cuisine with the world’s leading gastronomic figures in our country. Have a look at his LinkedIn or his personal website.

Our dishes are dishes we would like to eat ourselves at lunchtime, traditional food but with our own personality and always with fresh ingredients.

With bentto you can take care of yourself, give yourself a small treat or definitely go all out and enjoy as a proper foodie does. At home or at the office. Al la carte or by customizing our daily menus.
